I say this isn't bad at all. Definitely a passable submission. The animating quality was fairly good, although I somewhat disagreed with the style of animation, but that's just my preference. It was a bit corny, but also kind of funny too. Good luck on future submissions.

Wow...

I'm eagerly surprised and shocked to say that I like this. I never watched the first Apple Situation, but I don't seem to have suffered for not watching it, since I'm all brought up to speed, which is good in my opinion. :)

For some reason unbeknowst to me, I thoguht this was funny, probably the expressions of satan and it's randomness. xD

Only gripes were the voice acting at very specific parts, and the detail. Not that there's anything wrong with a lack of detail, as long as the acting and the dialouge are up to par. It's just better to look at submissions with moar detail. At least the animation was pretty good in my opinion.

Good luck on the sequel!! :D

I hate my voice as well, don't think you're alone.
I was afraid this would be confusing to those who haven't seen the original, I'm glad to hear it wasn't!
Thanks for the review!

I'm awe-shocked.

Honestly, this was a submission of epic porportions. Not because it had some awesome choreographed stick-fighting sequences, or because it submitted to Madness, or because it made any sort of common referances that we all that are familiar with on the internet.

This submission is epic because it is true to it's own, in truly every respect.

The entire submission proved to be quite long, as when I selected this, I wasn't even close ot expecting something to be like a DVD movie lol. I must say though that this submission at first appeared to be bizzare due to really all of circumstances and the characters, especially listening to Pink Floyd in the background.

Despite that though, it really played into the submission well. I would never have thought of a protagonist with missing arms, honestly. I also would not have been able to make her fit into a story so well either.

The athstetics are much resemblent to modern anime, but with some obscurity due to the lowered quality, obviously so, in order to submit something like this, something had to give, which is very easy to look past after being absorbed into the story.

Speaking of the story, it really is quite an interesting, involving and overall quaint story, but really studded with sorts of morals, the setting being quite minimal, but not to the disadvantage of the submission.

Overall, this is definately suitable for Christmas, sharing all sorts of messages, conveying a multitude of emotions, I love this submission.

SpikeVallentine responds:

Thank you for your appreciation. This project aint stunning or anything. But yeah, the only thing I dig is the morals. that's it yo. heheheh

Thank you for your time ! <3

Inventive

This is tight! I love it, for some strange unexplainable reason I haven't seen any decent Xiao-Xaio based stick fighting-esque tributes in quite a while.

It's really refreshing watching this, hell yea.

The esthetics are really bare-bones, and the backgrounds are black and white, but the beauty of the genre of stick animation is that the background really doesn't matter, it's all about the action, baby!

This definately has some tight action in it, creative manners of violence. Not to mention the pick of music is killer, good choice. Also, humor, haha! Good, that light blue stick really didn't have the balls since he stuck with weapons to begin with. >_>

I'm glad I checked this.

Looks good n' stuffs. Animation was great. The dialogue made me laugh, since how it was done, mildly leet, and all. Don't know if that was on purpose, but whatever, that was still funny.

I like the concepts of the weapons and characters, but I would like to see some simple but necessary improvements. Backgrounds, flash submission length and all, anything anyone else would reccomend :O

Lookie here.

Fairly well animated, and the camera work is good specifically for this sort of gun-fight flash.

But... it's just so short though...
And It doesn't give the option to pause it, it only loops, work on that >_>
And the first stick figure seems to be holding some sort of nerf gun...

If this was redone for length, it'd be worth looking into.

TheBennage responds:

Thanks, next time I don't think i'll be posting a short animation on here then :P

And yeah he's holding a bolt pistol from warhammer, I was too lazy to draw a gun myself xD

:D Face!

This was fracking awesome, it held the madness sort of art style that mmost Newgrounders appreciate and love, along with it's fluid aspect pared with the choreography made it sick. Also, I appreciate that the submission wasn't a puny few minute or so, but it went on for quite a while!

Mustard + Heart = Win

Lolz Ensued!

That was awfly funny! I wan't quite expecting the level of humor in this submission, I was expecting to simply pretend to laugh throughout half of it, but it was genuinely funny, especially the ending.

The animation was fine, fluid and the story was interesting too, even though it took a whole bunch or random turns I wasn't expecting. :P

This looks like a great trailer

Nice, Dream for a Requiem, I knew I heard that somewhere... I like that animation and art style and the entire 'opression' for the body of the story. I hate how the 'savior' didn't get light his cigarette up though lol

I don't know...

What it is about this submission that is so absolutely awesome. Maybe how well-fitting the audio track was to the flash. Maybe I'm thrown off because it was all in reverse, which was really strange but still so very awesome.

It's been a long time.
